I took this when our poodle pups (4M/1F) were just 2-day old. Now they're going six weeks and 10 times more adorable!!!

I used a faded black cartolina as background and set up an improvised table top at the garage. SB800 flash (via remote) on the right side, a natural light coming from the left side and a fill-in flash coming from the camera in front. The lighting was quite tricky since I don't want to blow up the shinny fur of the pups.

I practiced on a stuffed toy first so as not to stress the pups. After about 8 quick shots, the pups were back to their mom's care. No harm done.

In CS2, I introduced a cast of red for the effect.

Aperture: f/7.1
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/50sec
Lens: 17-35mm f/2.8 Nikon

Its a cute shot. I can see lots of life and love in this shot. U may need to picture them again with their mother and that will make a lovely shot for sure. More love that way. Good work.
